Bio
Kendall Cummings is the founder of K. Cummings Law and is focused on defending individuals at all stages of the criminal process. She is a strategic and passionate advocate who represents clients facing both minor and serious criminal allegations.
Prior to founding her practice, Kendall gained experience working with respected criminal defence counsel under the mentorship of Michael Moon and Nadir Sachak. She assisted on high-stakes criminal matters, including homicide, firearm, and drug cases. This exposure strengthened her ability to manage complex files with strategic advocacy and sound judgment.
Kendall understands that criminal allegations can have immediate and significant impacts on a person’s life. She is committed to clear communication, thorough preparation, and building strong client relationships. Her professional and volunteer experiences have deepened her understanding of the systemic barriers many individuals face when interacting with the justice system, and she brings a thoughtful, determined, and client-focused approach to every matter.
Kendall earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Wilfrid Laurier University, where she received the Bronze Medal of Distinction for academic achievement. She then completed her law degree at the University of Sussex in England, graduating with First Class Honours. Kendall was awarded the Clinical Legal Education Award of the Year in recognition of her outstanding contributions to community-based legal work and her commitment to improving access to justice. She later completed a Master of Laws at the University of Toronto, specializing in Canadian Law in a Global Context. She remains committed to ongoing professional development to ensure she provides informed, effective, and strategic representation in a constantly evolving criminal justice system.
